Amethyst = Heart Eyes

Will it snow today? That is the ominous question that I ask myself when I wake up every morning. It’s not a question that I particularly like to have to contemplate at 6:00 am, but I live in Utah, so that’s kind of what I signed up for. Boots, scarves, hats, cardigans, they are all items that have been definite musts in my wardrobe lately (a girl has gotta keep warm). But something new to add to my winter mix? An Amethyst Slice Necklace from Metal Marvels. As of recent, I have become a huge fan of jewelry that has rough edged stones– I dig it. It’s a touch more bohemian (which I like). And I love this one because it’s a statement enough to be worn alone, but it also lends itself well to layering. So, go team stone necklace, I love it! As for my dress, it’s another fab Amelia Dress from LulaRoe. Don’t think I’m crazy for wearing it in the winter. If you owned this dress you’d wear it all of the time …

Slip-On Sneaks

Hello from snowy Utah! It’s been snowing here off and on (I can’t keep up), but at least the mountains look gorgeous! I can’t help but stare when I’m driving… Despite the cold, I have been dying over slip-on sneakers lately. I have been on the hunt for some good ones and I have finally found them! They are super comfy and I LOVE the different textures of leather and scalloped edges. Klub Nico has won me over with these babies. So, if you’re like me and have been looking for some good ol’ slip-ons, you will not be disappointed with these! #StrongLikeYou

A few months back, I attended an event at the Jane.com headquarters to learn more about their collaboration with Musana International. What I learned is that Musana is an amazing company. Why? Their mission is to empower women and provide opportunities for work not only to better the individual, but to better the lives of their children. Musana does so by employing women in Uganda to create beautifully handcrafted jewelry (I own many pieces), that is then sold in America. The company is a non-profit organization, so all of the money earned goes back to the women in Uganda. Starting today, these bracelets go live on Jane.com where 100% of the proceeds will go to the amazing women who made them. Isn’t that great?! Another one of my favorite parts? Each piece is tagged with a photo of the artisan who created it, giving you a real sense of who these women are. It is so inspiring to see these strong Ugandan women face the world with fierce determination, inspiring a generation of change for their families. You can …

Layered Overalls

My latest obsession apart from Adele and old school Brittany Spears? Overalls, turtlenecks, and oxfords. So, I’ve combined them here for an everyday, layered look. Add a pop of bright lip color and you’re good to go! And boy do I love a bright lip color… I also know that overalls can be sort of intimidating to wear, but they are so cute and I feel like anyone can do it–honestly! And these faded black ones from Mindy Mae’s Market are a perfect place to start (I LOVE them). So, if you haven’t bought into the new overalls craze, now’s the time. Get it girrrl! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!     Shop my look: overalls | shoes (limited sizing) | shoes (similar) | top | bracelets | sunglasses | denim | lipstick

Baseball Dress + Oxfords

Ooops I did it again… I found another shoe brand that I LOVE. Gee’ Wawa makes me (and my feet) very happy! I have a similar reaction to what you would imagine a kid in a candy store feels like when I discover a great, new shoe company. Wide eyes, goofy faced smile, and a need to satisfy a craving. Shoes, shoes, shoes… Give me all the shoes! You can never really have enough, can you? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, when it comes to shoes, quality is everything and these babies don’t disappoint. Gee’ Wawa has found themselves a forever customer. And with this vest + baseball dress? Shut the front door! No, shut all of the doors! This is my new favorite outfit! Crank up the old school Brittany because this outfit is my jam! Not to get overly excited or anything… Unfortunately these silver oxfords are no longer available, but I’ve linked a few other styles from Gee’ Wawa that I hope end up in my closet sooner rather …

Flats & Fur

Ballerina Flats, who doesn’t love them? They are so easily styled and so very comfy. And I am in LOVE with my champagne flats from Talaria Flats. They add a little “oomph” to my outfit with their gold and blush sparkle. No joke, when I put them on, I don’t really want to take them off… So, if you’re on the hunt for some great ballerina flats, let me tell you, these are fab-u-lous. I would definitely recommend sizing up though (they run way small). I usually wear a 7.5 or 8, but I got a 9 and they are perfect. I’ve also teamed up with Cents of Style for this post. Their adorable fur vest is sold out (insert sad face emoji here), but I am loving their leopard beanie and their speckled beanie (I have both). You can see how I styled them here & here. Anyway, I hope that you all had an amazing holiday! I have some fantastic things in the works for 2016 (whoop, whoop)!   Shop my look: flats | jumpsuit | vest …
