Kortni Jeane Swimmer

Uh, hey spring. Where’d ya go? I thought that we were friends. I packed all of my winter coats away. Yes, all of my warm snuggly attire is packed away and you decide to snow? Whoa. I didn’t see that coming. But I guess I should have because I live in Utah and she’s a bipolar one. And just when I thought that we were on the same page…  Anyone else ready to officially break up with winter? We had a few warm weekends, hence my ability to wear a swimsuit, but it is now freezing once again. Ugh. I am so looking forward to the day when I can slip this baby back on and soak up the sun! I love Kortni Jeane swimmers. Bright swimsuit patterns are my jam. Plus, the mix and match possibilities are nearly endless and they provide enough coverage that you feel completely comfortable in your swim gear. So gals, snag your swimmer for the warmer days ahead. You’re going to need one! xoxo, Karlee     Shop my look: swim …

h2Blowdry Bar

Every girl just needs some gal pal time. Whether it be getting a mani + pedi, going to a movie, or going shopping, we need a time where we can relax and not have to think. A time to let go of whatever stresses life throws at you and unwind for an hour or two. Obviously getting your makeup done at a super adorable salon isn’t something that you can do everyday, or even every week, but I think it’s important to take a little mini staycation by yourself or with your lady friends to have some good old fashioned fun. So all of my local Utah girls, I’m talkin’ to you. When you need a break, the h2 Blowdry Bar is the place to go! Like I said, you may not have a big fancy event to go to, (or you aren’t a bridesmaid this weekend) but it’s important to take some personal girl time (or YOU time). Blowouts, waxing & tinting, updos, makeup, the h2 Blowdry Bar has it all. It’s everything you need for your girl’s day, …

Overalls & Watches

Remember that Olivia Burton watch that I’ve been blogging about? Yes, of course you do because I can’t shut up about it. Whelp, this is the last look where I’ll be featuring the watch (tear), but it’s one of my favorites! If you remember my very first post about overalls, you’d know that I was a bit nervous to try them out. But these white ones are now my third pair! Yay for conquering fashion fears! I have grown to absolutely adore overalls and I LOOOOVE these white ones. No joke, the very first time that I wore them I was on some sort of crazy spilling rampage and I had to bleach them three times (super embarrassing), but what’s Clorox for, eh? I really do love them and they are on mega sale right now for under $15, so if you have yet to snatch yourself a pair of pasty white overalls, now’s the time to do it. Plus, this blouse is also on crazy sale for under $30 using code “HOPTOIT”. As for my …

Newage Backpack

Story time. Over the past few months, I have been yearning for a Michael Kors backpack. I could just imagine myself strolling through town with an adorable vegan leather pouch strapped to my back. I kept seeing them over and over again (it’s like they were haunting me). But, unfortunately, I don’t have an extra $378 lying around. Woof. Maybe next year. But then, oh and this is the best part, something miraculous happened. I found Sorial (praising hands emoji)! This is the treasure. ‘X’ marks the spot. I have found the gold, people! And this is why: Amazing thing number one, I don’t need a baller status cash flow because my Sorial backpack cost less than HALF the price of my previously coveted Michael Kors and I like it even better. Amazing thing number two, you can use code KARLEE30 for an extra 30% off of your order from Sorial. Say whaaaa? Yeah, it’s fabulous. They offer everything from tiny fringe clutches, big, fabulous vegan leather totes, to my favorite, fancy, I am your BFF backpacks. So, really …

(The Best) Olivia Burton Watch

Okay, so I am a lover of watches. Every time I walk into Nordstrom I go straight to the watches and admire them through the thick glass cases. It’s just instinct. I can’t help but B-line to the delicious wrist candy section of any store, really. So, I will tell you this: As a human being who is obsessed with watches, and who is super picky about quality (especially when it comes to watches) I am head over heels for Olivia Burton. Their watches make me drool. I’m not kidding. Ever since I have come in contact with the company, I have been extremely impressed. The quality is impeccable and the designs will make you want to cry tears of joy. So, if you need a new watch (or even if you don’t), Olivia Burton is the brand you’re going to want to look for! And this is only the beginning friends. I will be doing a three part series featuring Olivia Burton this week (woohoo!). So, stay tuned for more watch love! Shop my …

Sandal Wedges For The Win

This past week has been a rough one. First, the weather has been all over the place. It started out sunny and (sort of) warm in the high 50s, but now it’s back down to the 30s with potential for snow. So, that’s throwing me off. I realized that I STILL have some winter decorations up, whoops. I managed to somehow smear lipstick all over my purse, who really knows what happened…? Daylight savings kicked my butt, obviously. I totally spaced and missed my appointment at the DMV, not to mention, I thought that it was Friday three separate times this week. Woof. Where has my mind gone? So, the bright side of my week has definitely been these sandals. I honestly like them even more than I thought I would. Like I’ve said before, I am more of a flats kind of gal, but I have really been trying to branch out and wear more shoes with a wedge or heel. These ones from Sofft Shoes (and yes, they really are soft) are a super simple design, gold straps …

Stripes + Buttons

I am SO ready for spring. We’ve been doing our “spring cleaning” and I’ve been sneezing like a mad woman from all of the dust. You never really realize how much stuff you actually have until you go through it all… Geez. But, it’s so nice to feel like we have a fresh house and to get rid of all of the clutter. It’s exhausting and super time consuming, but it’s totally worth it for everything to feel straightened and organized again. Another thing that I throughly enjoy about spring is the warm whether, which means crisp clothes that allow your skin to see the sunlight again. Mindy Mae’s Market has an AMAZING spring line. This striped button up has quickly become one of my new faves. I’ve worn it at least once I week since I got it…shhh. Anyway, if you’re on the hunt for a few quality, spring items, Mindy Mae’s is a great place to start! Shop my look: top | skirt (similar) | sweater (similar) | shoes | hat | watch | bracelet(s)

Stripes & Oxfords

So, I’ve mentioned before that I am not much of a heel girl. I am trying to be, but I just keep going back to my old, easy to walk in ways. I just adore flats! I love these vintage inspired flats from Restricted Shoes–they’re so romantic! They are fabulous, not to mention totally affordable. It may be the wrong style/time period, but they sort of make me feel like Allie from the Notebook. That movie gets me every time… And it doesn’t hurt that these shoes were basically made for this dress from Mindy Mae’s Market. This is a combo you’re definitely going to need! I’ve linked these exact shoes below via Mod Cloth. You can also check out restrictedshoes.com. This particular pair is now sold out at Restricted Shoes, BUT you can still get 25% off of your order with code MADAMANDREWS25 (woohoo) & they have some other great options.   Shop my look: shoes | dress | purse (similar) | sunglasses | watch | unicorn bracelet | feather bracelet           …

Family Stitch

You know when you are awaiting a package and it’s like Christmas Day when it comes? You sit, you wait. It only takes about 5 days for it to get to you but it feels like 5 years?Yep, that’s what happened here. We’ve all been there. When the day finally came where I eagerly tore through the manila envelope-like packaging, I was absolutely floored. I couldn’t stop staring and to be honest, I still can’t. Truthfully, the first time I saw it, it brought a little tear to my eye. I know that my family of two (just my husband and I) is small right now, but when I look at it, it reminds me of how much I love him and that although there’s only two of us right now, we’ll have little mini-me’s running around soon enough. I cannot even express how much I adore this cross stitch and how much I appreciate the time and detail that went into creating it. It is something that I will hold dear, well, forever. So, needless to …

That Poncho Life

Ponchos are a beautiful thing! They are easy to style, comfy and chic. I love this one from Gray Monroe because, well to be completely honest, it feels like butter on my skin. Whoa, just whoa. It is definitely one of the softest items that I own. Plus, I love the super subtle plaid detailing. I’ve styled it here with a pair of my favorite joggers, a plain tee, some retro adidas (which I am obsessed with), and a fun snakeskin clutch. It’s a look that is comfortable enough to sleep in (really, it’s that good), but sophisticated enough that you feel good about yourself going out in public. To finish the look, I’ve added a few delicate jewelry pieces. They really do add a lot. I am really into simplistic, dainty jewelry lately, and Borcik has just that. This garnet gemstone necklace and rose gold druzy earring have me enamored. Arielle, the owner, has a fabulous little Etsy shop. You’ll want to check it out. This is the last of the four part series of …
