Contouring w/ Maskcara IIID Foundation

I’ll be the first to admit that I am no makeup guru. In my teens, I just did what my mom did, which wasn’t much (a powder foundation and mascara– That’s it). I added bronzer to the mix and ended up over bronzering my face for years… Orange much? I didn’t even use a concealer for under my eyes until a few years ago– Yikes. So, needless to say my makeup routine has been quite the journey. Anybody feel me? I’m very happy to say that I now have a much healthier and more effective makeup regime (hooray!). One of my favorite new easy to use products that I’ve found is Maskara’s IIID Foundation and I’m super excited to share it with you!! We’ve all seen those scary Pinterest photos where girls have those crazy intense contour lines all over their face. It always remind me of some sort of Halloween feline makeup… A tiger, maybe? Anyway, this is NOT that. Yes, it’s a contour palette, but do not fear! It’s super easy to use and appears very …

White Lace Dress

I’ve always loved lace. I’m not sure what it is, but there’s just something about wearing a lace dress that makes you feel like a princess. Don’t you think? When I was engaged and on the hunt for a wedding dress, I knew that I wanted mine to be white lace. It ended up being a mixture off gorgeous lace and fluffy tulle. Boy did I feel like royalty! Although this midi dress may not being a wedding gown, I still feel a tinge of excitement when I put it on. It makes me feel, well… pretty. And every girl deserves to feel beautiful! Perhaps it’s the femininity of lace, or it’s detailed quality, but either way I’m always in! And this BAG! OMG. I could just die over the embroidered leather. It’s such a perfect piece for this transition into fall too. This ornate lace dress + this intricate satchel bag— It’s a magical combo. I snagged em’ both from Dezzal. If you create an account on their site, you get 20% off on your first order 😉 …

LipSense w/ Glam Glimmer Gloss

If you have a driven female in your life, any sort of social media, or you live on planet Earth, you’ve probably heard of LipSense by now. It’s a smudge proof, kiss proof, waterproof all day lip color that you probably need in your life. It’s super nice because you don’t ever have to worry about getting it on your teeth (I don’t know about anybody else but that’s a huge problem for me), you never have to not kiss someone, your boyfriend, husband, children, etc. for fear of transferring your lip color, and there are over 70 different colors to choose from, so… My cute sister-in-law Allyson sells this magical product and let me just tell you– It’s the stuff of unicorns. Not only do I really love the product, but Allyson creates super helpful videos on her FB Page (you have to request access to the page) and I’ve even seen her Facetime girls that she doesn’t even know to answer questions/show how to use the product– She’s awesome. Plus, if you’re looking …

On To The Next Season

I had forgotten how nice it is (because I never go) to get a pedi/mani. It’s sort of disgusting, but to have someone pick off all the dead skin surrounding your cuticles is amazing. Disgusting, but amazing. We went back to Oregon for my best friend’s wedding (hence, the pedi/mani) and it was a blast. She looked absolutely stunning– No surprise there. After returning home, I had the realization that summer is almost over… Sad! But, as depressing as it is for summer to be over, I’m not gonna lie, I am pretty exited for fall. Jackets, booties, and scarves– Oh my! To get ready for fall, I’m loving colored leather jackets, boyfriend jeans (always) and clogs. These black ones have been my latest obsession. I wear them way too often! Hope you’re enjoying your week so far! xoxo, Karlee Shop:

Embroidered Tunic Heaven

This tunic though… I’m in embroidered tunic heaven, #hearteyes. If you read my posts, you’re probably getting sick of me obsessing over embroidered pieces lately. So, I’m sorry but I just can’t stop. Can’t stop, won’t stop. This Free People inspired embroidered tunic is no different– It’s love. AND it’s somehow both summery and appropriate for fall all at the same time. Magical I tell you… It also doesn’t hurt that the Free People version is over a $100 and this one is only $42. Kind of a no brainer, right?! If you can’t already tell, I’m a excited (maybe a little too excited). Side note– If you’re on the hunt for a comfy pair of jeans for fall, you need these. Yes, need. They are part of 7 For All Mankind’s b(air) denim collection and they’re fabulous. So soft, like unreasonably soft… I also featured them in my Blogiversary post. If you see me on the street there’s a very good chance that you’l see me reppin’ this look. Probably more often than I should. Until next time …

Happy Blogiversary

My very first post on Madam Andrews was actually published in July of last year… But I didn’t really get things going until August. So it may be a little belated, but I’m going to say it any way– Happy Blogiversary (to me)! There are SO many things that I’ve learned over the last year (too much to write), so I decided to just focus on a few. Let’s jump right in– Just keep swimming (going). Do as Dory does and keep on keepin’ on. I don’t know that I’ve met any fellow blogger that at one point or another, didn’t want to quit. There was a point where I wanted to quit at least once a week, but I didn’t– And I’m very glad that I didn’t. Blogging is hard for a lot of reasons… It takes SO much time and maybe even more energy. It’s exhausting, many times overwhelming, and can be difficult to maneuver. Goals are sometimes difficult to reach and it can feel like everyone else is having success but YOU. …

TULA Probiotic Skincare

It has been my goal this summer to start branching out and testing new beauty/skincare products. Testing out new products is super daunting to me because my skin is so sensitive and tends to freak out at any sign of regimen change (bleh). However, letting my skin be a guinea pig this summer has not only helped me get to know my skin better, and what it needs, but I’ve actually found some super great products that I love! As you may have noticed, the number of skincare companies utilizing probiotic technology is rapidly increasing. I swear I see something new about probiotic technology in skincare every time I walk into a beauty store. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it, or how it would affect me, so I did a little research… It’s no secret that probiotics, when ingested through foods such as yogurt, can have positive effects on the skin, so it makes sense that skincare companies are now taking advantage of this knowledge and applying those same principles to topical skincare products. It …

Casual Layering with Brickyard Buffalo

Because of the intense heat that’s going on, I have a hard time wearing jeans lately… You just can’t catch a breeze! I’ve been wearing a lot of skirts and dresses because at least my legs can feel the cool air (if there is any). I’ve found some fantastic options at Brickyard Buffalo to layer and accessorize for a casual look. Like this maxi dress! I’ve layered it with an oversized hoodie for the evening (just in case it gets a little cooler at night). The dress pairs perfectly with a pair of your favorite sneakers and it even has pockets! It’s available NOW at Brickyard for under $25, but only until Friday! And then there’s this skirt (heart eyes). Not only is it under $20 (woohoo), but it’s incredibly comfortable and suuuper stretchy. I love the basic grid pattern– It makes it super easy to style. I’ve dressed it down here with some denim on denim and sneakers for an easy, everyday look. It just barely released on Brickyard Buffalo yesterday, so head on over and snag one before …

Leather & Lemons

New this week.. Well, our house is finally starting to look like a house… That’s a step in the right direction! Less boxes and more assembled furniture– It’s coming together. It’s so strange. We’ve been here a week now and I still wake up every morning in shock that we really have a house, that it’s really ours. After a year of searching, it feels pretty good! Although this heat is absolutely miserable, (our brand new grass is needing A LOT of water and I feel like a big sweat ball every time I step outside) I’m still trying to enjoy the rest of summer. It may be unbearably hot, but for Utahns, winter is just around the corner… Fall goes by way too quick here– You blink and you miss it. It’s a shame because it’s my very favorite season, that’s why I like to soak it up while I can. But, me being me, I like to wear brightly colored pieces all year round. There’s just something happy about it. Colored leather jackets (yes …
