Summer Treasures Set w/ L’Occitane

Real talk– The Summer Treasures set from L’Occitane is AWESOME. It has so many fun products to try and they’re all in travel size, woohoo! Perfect to just stick in your purse while you’re on the run this summer. I know I am! The box is also great because you get to test out all kinds of fabulous products and plan for which ones you need in full size. I’ve gone through and listed every product that comes in the set and a little more about why I like it. There are definitely quite a few that I’ll need to purchase again! First up, the Almond Shower Oil. This is actually a body cleanser that turns from oil to a milky texture when you use it in the shower. Say whaaa? It leaves your skin feeling incredibly smooth and it smells absolutely amazing. This is the first shower oil that I’ve ever tried and I’ve really enjoyed it! The Immortelle Essential Water is essentially an alcohol-free toner enriched with immortelle floral water. It helps to cleanse …

Mini Vacations

Jono and I are all about the mini vacations. Of course heading up to Park City for the weekend would be a fantastic mini vacation, although an expensive one… More often we take our mini vacations right in town. Even if it’s simply going to the local bakery and heading to the park— It’s a break from work and worry! This summer you’ll bet we’ll be outside, so yes once again, I’ll be armed with my Hawaiian Tropic® Silk Hydration® Weightless Face Lotion. We’ve been slowly but surely putting in our back yard and Jono has been swearing by this stuff. I have to say, he’s getting a pretty good farmer’s tan! 😉 But in all honesty, it really is so important to protect your skin. I feel that now more than ever. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again— I love Hawaiian Tropic because it provides both broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection with high quality ingredients. It’s definitely my favorite facial sunscreen that I’ve ever used. I’m really looking forward to having …

White Summer Dress

Dress are all I want to wear this summer. It’s just too hot to wear anything else. I’m passed my booty shorts days and jeans just trap in the heat ha… I always forget how when summer time rolls around, I’m just trying to survive. Just walking around outside makes me feel like I’m going to pass out, hence my strong need for something breezy to wear. I especially love this lightweight dress from Maude for its embroidered eyelet detail. The cinched bell sleeves are a fun addition too! There are a lot of trends going on right now, and although I love all the fun, it’s also nice to have a classic more neutral dress. I’ve paired this dress with a pair of my favorite clogs, which by the way if you haven’t snagged some clogs yet for this season, you need to! This dress is on mega sale so it’s a great time to snag it! I also at this point own several matte gold earrings and I looove them. These ones from Maude …

The Ultimate London Guide

Headed to London anytime soon? Well, you should be! Jono and I both love history, so London was a great place to spend a part of our vacation. Although we do wish that we could have stayed longer… Here’s a list of tips and things to do based on our trip and advice given to me by my fellow travel buddies: 1. GET AN OYSTER CARD! What’s an Oyster Card? It’s a pay as you go card that allows you to ride both the tube and the bus. It’s by far the easiest way to get around the city. 2. Oxford Circus shopping. It’s like I died and went to heaven. By far the best shopping in London. 3. The British Museum. I wish so badly that we would have been able to spend more time here. The museum is huge. I could have spent weeks there. They have a really cool Egyptian collection with real mummies (whaaaa?). Top tip— Get there before the museum opens. We got there early and there was no wait. …

Your new favorite bag

Ahh yes. The magical combo of suede and leather. Does it get any better? I’ve had to explain several times to Jono that when I talk about leather and when I talk about suede, I’m talking about two different things. A few months back there was a suede jacket that I had been yearning for and when I showed him he replied “You already have a leather jacket”. No, no, no. This is SUEDE. Sure, they both come from a cow (or a fake cow 😉 ) But they are NOT the same thing. He still doesn’t get it, ha. Anyway… About this particular beauty— I love this bag from Hieleven because the materials are super good quality and it’s a fabulous neutral. It’s easy to pair with literally every outfit. I don’t change by bag too often, so I like a neutral color that I can stick with for a while. I have another bag from Hieleven that I also adore. You can find all of the deets here. I hope that you have …

The Santorini Sun

Jono and I had such a fun time on our vacation! I’m not gonna lie, it was a little hard to come home… Back to reality! Both England and Greece were on my bucket list, so I’ve been stoked to have finally been able to check them off😉 Santorini was obviously the warmer of the two locations. The weather was perfect in the low 80s. #takemeback We made sure to drink LOTS of water, walked a ton, and of course lathered up with sunscreen.   I brought my Hawaiian Tropic® Silk Hydradtion®  Face Lotion with me because I knew I’d want good protection from the Greek sun! Plus, my skin hasn’t seen the light in a while and the first time seeing the sun can be a little scary if you know what I mean… This face sunscreen was an absolute necessity in Santorini. We were outside all day long. Even though I know that it’s important to protect your skin anytime that you’re outside, it’s easy for me to forget to use sunscreen when I’m not …

Summer Skin

A little skin history… I used to use a lot of beaded cleansers that doubled as scrubs until my dermatologist told me to kick them to the curb. I can’t even tell you how big of a difference it’s made for my skin since switching to soft cleansers like this one. Here’s the way that my dermatologist explained it to me: When you use beaded cleansers and scrubs, they continually open your acne wounds and spread the infection around. So you feel like you’re getting a “deep clean” but in reality it’s enabling the infection, aka your acne, to stay and spread. #nothankyou! I’ve found that TULA has really great products that are not only gentle for your skin, but they also revitalize. TULA offers a 3-product face routine to help your skin stay healthy and I’ve really loved it! First, you start with the TULA Purifying Cleanser. It’s not overly foamy and it leaves your skin feeling nice and clean. Next, you apply your pH Resurfacing Gel to get your pH to its proper …
