That Tunic Thing

My hubby and I have been binge watching the OC… I feel like I’m in high school again, ha. Seth Coen aka Adam Brody was my celebrity crush growing up. It’s funny because he’s now become Jono’s favorite character too. Great minds think alike 😉 It’s basically a teenage soap opera, but I have no shame! I remember watching it real time (I had one of those teeny TVs with a built in VHS player in my room) #oldschool. Every week I would sit on the phone with my friend, who was also fully entrenched in the show, during the entirety of that week’s episode. We would oooo and ahhh and share our thoughts during the commercials. Ahhh what a show! Watching it again now brings back so many silly memories! Anyway, I’m still a sucker for embroidery– No news there.  It dominated my 2016, and I think it’ll do the same for 2017. I just can’t get enough! Another 2016 trend that’s here to stay? Tassels. See my other look with Urban Expressions bags here, here …

That Sporty Thang

Remember when sporty clothes were definitely not flattering? Like, remember the 90’s? A neon jumpsuit that swishes with your every step doesn’t exactly say, “I’m a total babe”. It’s actually a bit horrifying. But these days, athletic clothes can make you feel cuter than actual clothes, plus they’re comfier. Consequently, we like to wear our workout clothes throughout our entire day.  And hey, you might “run” on a day when you’re wearing your sporty clothes, you just never know. Like when you need to race like a speed demon to your car as you exit a sketchy Walmart (am I the only one?).         Personally, I hope that this wearing workout gear all day trend doesn’t go away. I am just way too devoted to my comfort. Nike Roshes are my saving grace and my heart throbs over any athletic pullover. This new floral one that I have heart eyes for is from Hope Ave. It may not have necessarily been meant for an athletic look, usually their clothing identifies more with a bohemian look, like the chunky sweater …

Best Dressed Bohemian

They’ve done it. They have found an impeccable way to be one hundred percent comfortable and adorable at the same time. Let me back up for a minute. First off, I am undoubtedly one of those girls who puts comfort first. I have no shame in that. Tight dresses and stilettos? Not my style. You definitely won’t see me running around in heels on the regular because number one, I’m super clumsy and number two let’s face it, heels are uncomfortable. I am sort of a baby when it comes to wearing heels, but that is a whole other story. Not that I have anything against it, I just hate having bruised toes, not to mention feeling squeezed into my clothes. For these reasons, among others, I LOVE that flowy, less fitting styled clothing is in style right now. It’s seriously my saving grace. For this post, I have partnered with J.A.G. Co Clothing, which is basically my new favorite shop. When I laid eyes on their Navy Lace Dress, I just about died (of …
