Baby Girl’s Nursery Reveal

We are seriously so stoked for our little one to arrive. I can’t believe that I only have 12 more weeks… It’s insane! I’ve been nesting like crazy getting everything ready over here, but putting together her nursery has seriously been my favorite part. I LOVE decorating and I have to say her room just might be my fave. I went pretty neutral with feminine touches. It makes for really calm vibes. I feel like it’s sort of a modern meets bohemian feel… Most things you see pictured are still available and if not, I’ve linked super similar items! First off, my dream is to have a library and I really want my kids to have a love for reading. We have a living room downstairs that has a big bookshelf and I don’t call it the living room… I call it the library. I’m ridiculous, I know. But just let me pretend that I’m Belle from Beauty and the Beast! Sooo naturally I went out and bought a million books for our little lady’s …

L’Occitane + Rifle Paper Co. Fall Faves

L’Occitane has partnered with Rifle Paper Co. and it’s a beautiful thing. It’s basically the best of the best joining forces, so… Yeah. It’s pretty rad. Winter is coming (nooooo) and if you’re like me you’re trying to get prepped. What new boots do I need? Beanies? Scarves? And oh yeah, my skin! It can be quite the rough transition if you don’t have the right products. I for one am going to avoid my skin taking a beating this season! My hands and elbows tend to get dry and cracked during the winter, so I live by this stuff. The travel sizes are perfect for your purse and for holiday gifts (even stocking stuffers) for the upcoming holiday season. Plus, since L’Occitane has partnered with Rifle Paper Co. the packaging is cuter than ever! A few of my favorites from the L’Occitane + Rifle Paper Co. collection… I truly can’t say enough about the hand cream. My husband was skeptical but then I made him use it and he now understands my obsession, ha. …

Albion Maternity Looks

Oh the joys of being pregnant… It’s rough trying to find things that fit me right and if you are currently pregnant or have been before, you know my pain. It’s already a challenge to find things that fit your normal body just right, and then you add in a bump and it just goes downhill… Some mamas carry high, some carry low. Some have their babies situated more side to side and others seem to carry much farther outward. Wherever your baby sits, it can be a difficult balance to juggle how the heck to cover the thing once it’s time to get dressed in the morning. I’ve moved 90% of my clothes into another room because it’s depressing to look at a closet full of items that I can’t wear. Although it’s also depressing to look at an empty closet… Anyway, for this post I’ve partnered with Albion to show you a few items that you can wear before, during, and after your pregnancy (YES)! THESE JOGGERS. I’ll admit, I do own them …

3 NYFW Looks

I haven’t gotten around to posting all of the details on the three remaining NYFW looks that I was able to shoot, so here they are! Studded Sneaks Studded boots, studded bags, studded sneakers… I dig the studded trend. I scored these babies from J/Slides and I’m pretty stoked about it. These are my third pair of shoes from them and they don’t disappoint! The quality has always been fantastic, and as you know, I’m kind of a shoe snob… To start, they are super comfy! And I love the higher sole. Not quite a platform, but the shoe does have some height which I like. I’ve paired them here with this dusty pink top and this floral jacquard coat that I am absolutely obsessed with.    Duster Vest I’m a sucker for a duster vest… I just am! I wanna buy like 100 this season! I feel like they add a level of sophistication that somehow only they can accomplish. I don’t know if that really makes sense or not, but I just dig …

NYFW Shows + Velvet Maternity Look

Okay sooo I just wanted to highlight some of my fave shows from NYFW. You’ll definitely want to check out these brands! Let’s jump right in 😉 Galtiscopio I think that Galtiscopio will always have a special place in my heart because it was my very first NYFW show. And it was AWESOME. So much glitz and glam. The pieces were stunning. It was a super high energy show right off the bat and they even had entrainment! The pieces were stunning and I was super impressed. I’ll definitely want to attend the next Galtiscopio show! Katie Gallagher This wasn’t your traditional runway show. The models stood and sometimes rotated showing off the collection. It was a cool show, beautiful pieces. The only downside was that you were standing in a mob of people so it was kind of hard to see. Cindy Monteiro This designer was only 26 and freaking adorable. Her line was more of a resort line with a lot of light, natural colors and burlap. It reminded me of some sort …

How to go to NYFW

Okay, so how the heck do you get into NYFW? Well, that’s the million dollar question isn’t it! It’s actually a lot more simple than you’d expect. It’s a ton of prep work, don’t get me wrong, but it’s totally doable! So, the magical equation? Research. Who are you interested in seeing? Why? Take a look at the schedule and prioritize where you want to go. Find the designers that pique your interest. Bada bing, bada boom. Reach out. This is what is the most time consuming. You’ll need to do a lot of research to find the right contacts that will be able to get you into the shows that you want to see. For me, this took hours and hours of Googling. But it’s a necessary evil to get in! Once you have the appropriate contacts, email away! Be clear on what you’re offering them and make sure that you deliver! Plan, plan, plan. I admittedly started planning a little late this year, but everything worked out and I had an amazing time. …
