Pressure! Pushing down on me
Pressing down on you…

Yes, those are the intro lyrics to Under Pressure by Queen.  Not to be confused with Vanilla Ice’s Ice Ice Baby. The dum dums are obviously the introductory guitar strums. I’m talented, I know…

But seriously, pressure is what I am feeling right now. We are trying to purchase our very first home and well, it’s a little overwhelming. Houses go so fast! And it’s scary! When I was a kid I had nightmares about monsters under the bed, now I have nightmares that I’ll never find a house. Stressed. Yep, I’m a little stressed.

Whether I’m looking for a house, or a new killer piece for my closet, I’ve been really trying to focus on quality over quantity. I want a good house with good bones and a great use of space. I also want fabulous quality jeans and shoes that’ll last me until my dying day (well, almost). I’d rather purchase one or two quality wardrobe pieces rather than buy a plethora of items that will fall a part before the season’s end. I spent many years purchasing cheap, low quality items (especially shoes, ugh) because I thought I was saving money. But, I ended up spending just as much because I would consistently have to replace the pieces that I bought. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a sale, a deal, a steal, but I have become super picky on quality.

This is one large reason why I am dying over these 7 For All  Mankind boyfriend jeans. The seam’s fringe has me twitterpated and they are super comfy. I also looove boyfriend jeans because of the loose fit. Skinny jeans are great, but sometimes it’s nice to not have to feel like you need to squeeze into your jeans…

Also, I’ve been trying to get my hands on some quality lace up ballerina flats and these black ones from Chocolate Schubar don’t disappoint. I’m in love with the gold detailing at the sole of the shoe as well as the small tassels on the laces. They definitely don’t mess around when it comes to detail and quality. Plus, they have some super fun options like their beaded fox sandal and their ketchup and mustard sandal. I recently discovered the brand and I’ve been really impressed. You’ll definitely want to check them out.

P.S. I did another post with7 For All Mankind last week. If you missed it, you can view my full post here.

I hope you have a fabulous week! Wish me luck on my house hunt!

xoxo,

Karlee

Its like you learn my thoughts! You appear to understand a lot about this, such as you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some percent to pressure the message home a bit, however other than that, that is excellent blog. A fantastic read. I will definitely be back.
