Leather Lovin’

        Sunflower scrunchies, corduroy jumpers, acid wash jeans, and leather jackets? Is it 1992? Thankfully no, but the 90’s sure are making a comeback. My core interest in this late 20th century revival–leather. Not only is leather resurfacing as trendy throwback pieces, but it is also transforming into a common textile for added detail in clothing items. Personally, I’m loving it. Five years ago if you were seen strutting around town in your leather getup, you would have been considered hardcore, even militant. These days, it ain’t no thang.         I have been sporting leather goods since I was just a wee babe. It’s actually what inspired this post (funny, I know). For my very first birthday, my parents purchased me a mini leather jacket and a toddler sized battery powered four wheeler. They may not have been the most practical gifts for a one-year-old, but hey, at least I looked cool, right?
