Ho! Ho! Ho! Thanksgiving is only just a few weeks away, which means Christmas is ALMOST HERE. Whaaa? Every year I end up asking how. How did the year go by so fast? You feel me? As you know, I decorate for the holidays a little early… November 1st this year. #sorryimnotsorry But what about you? Is your Christmas decor up yet?!
I have been DYING to share the pieces that I got from Grandin Road for the holidays. They are SO good. Especially the tree. It’s drool worthy. Jono and I have been sitting on the couch in the front room at night while the tree is lit after Jo goes to bed. It’s nice to just sit and chat in front of the tree. It’s kind of therapeutic! Having our Christmas tree up gives me all of the cozy vibes! And our front porch has never looked so good.
I like a lot of different decor styles, especially for holiday. So when it comes to Christmas decorating I have a hard time narrowing down what I want things to look like. I enjoy mixing and matching different styles, but I want everything to look cohesive at the same time, you know?
But, I’m really happy with how everything turned out. Like, so so so happy.
Grandin Road has basically everything you need to create a perfectly festive space. I am OBSESSED. Legit. It feels really good to like (I mean reeeally like) the way that your home looks. I’ve never been happier with our holiday decor! I think at this point we’re pretty much done decorating… I think Jono would kill me if I asked him to help me set up one more thing, ha!
Here are a few tips when it comes to decorating for the holidays:
Stick with a color scheme. The holidays can be crazy with LOTS of different colors. Whether you like bright decor, or more neutral, decide what that it is and stick with it. It will help guide your purchases and your decorating!
Branch out. Choose items with different textures and sheens. Doing so will help your decor pop out (in a good way). It will also help your space to feel more complete.
Love what you get. Your holiday decor should make you smile, so buy items that you love. That seems pretty obvious, but it can be easy to just purchase what’s convenient. Make sure you love the items that you get, even if they’re a little harder to find. You’ll be glad you did!
For me, this year I knew that I wanted a flocked tree. I’ve wanted one for the last few years, so it was a goal to be able to have one this Christmas. I was super stoked to find this one at Grandin Road. It is PERFECT! Here’s a full list of every pictured item from Grandin Road:
