Okay, sooo we all want our house to eternally look like a magazine, right? When I get my West Elm catalogs in the mail I think maaaan I NEED ALL OF THIS. Although I am a fan of their store, along with Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, etc. shopping at those high end home stores all of the time just isn’t realistic for most of us. I’ll admit I will splurge on coveted items, but for the most part I try to find look-alike items at a more affordable price.
I shop all over the place for my home items, but these 5 places are definitely my favorite for online home shopping!
Houzz. Whenever I Google a specific product that I’m looking for, Houzz is alway in my search results. They literally have everything! The downside to house is that they have so. much. inventory. I pretty much only shop Houzz if I’m looking for something specific and opt to use the search on their site, or when I Google something & Houzz pops up. They usually have several different options for the same type of thing and I can always find something at my price point.
World Market. They generally have more unique items and they’re affordable (yaaaaas!). They have a very Anthropologie type of feel, but at a much lower price point! I am totally diggin’ this chair that they have online right now. I also really love their kitchen items.
Target. I once read a quote that said “I don’t trust people that don’t love Target”. Target is so great for so many things! I love shopping there because they have great collections of home pieces and they are 100% affordable. When I’m looking for home items, Target is one of the first places that I search. I recently did a haul of plastic dishes and I LOVE them. They don’t look plastic, and they are way nice if you have kids!
Urban Outfitters. Random? Maybe. But Urban Outfitters actually has some really cute home pieces. It may be surprising, but it’s totally true! I like UO for planters, mirrors, shelves… I have these killer geometrical wood shelves in my half bathroom! They tend to have cute pillows and tabletop decor as well.
H&M. Yeah, girl. H&M has some killer home items! They are great for smaller items that serve as accents for your home. Some of my favorite velvet pillows are from H&M along with some really cute candles and vases.
PS This fig leaf tree is the only item that I’ve purchased from QVC but it’s a fraction of the cost of others that I’ve found and it is excellent quality!
