Okay peeps. I’ve partnered with DailyLook for this post and I just want to give some mild disclaimers before I get into the nitty gritty 😉
This was the very first subscription based box that I’ve tried where a stylist compiles a few looks and sends them your way. I’ve always been a little intrigued, so I was actually really excited to try out Daily Look.
My experience wasn’t quite what I had imaged…
BUT I recognize that I am probably pickier than their average customer. I love fashion, I research fashion, and I realized even more that I actually really enjoy picking out my own clothes. So, keep that in mind.
Here’s how it works:
First, they have you fill out a profile of what you’d consider your style. You can link your Pinterest, you rate looks, you can provide links to your favorite fashion bloggers… It’s honestly kinda of long, but I thought it was cool. Seemed to me that they are really trying to be thorough which I appreciate.
Then the stylist compiles your box and you get a sneak preview of what’s inside. When I saw the preview I was honestly a little disappointed. I felt that the stylist really missed the mark. You can trade out a few items from your box and let the stylist know why they weren’t your fave, so I did do that.
Then the box comes. You get to try it all on and you have 5 days to return what you don’t want to purchase (shipping is free both ways). Easy enough!
I reached out and let them know that I wasn’t happy with the first box. They were actually really nice about it. So, round 2!

I got a new stylist and I have to admit it was better. There were still items that I definitely wouldn’t wear, but there were a few that I might pick out myself.
I still felt kind of… I don’t know… Underwhelmed?
But like I said before, that may just be because I’m a fashion obsessed crazy person.
This experience made me realize that subscription boxes like this are really not my thang… However, if you don’t have time to shop, don’t want to waste your time at the mall, aren’t too picky and feel comfortable with others dressing you, then, this could be a great fit for you!
Or if you’re weary of online shopping and want to try some goodies on before you make a purchase, this could be a great option.
I will say that I feel like DailyLook really cared that I received items that I liked and I feel confident in saying that they would work with you to figure out what your style is and what kind of items you want to receive.
I don’t want you to think that I’m hating (I’m not, I promise!) because DailyLook really could work for you!
I think it’s a fun idea, just maybe not for me.
Have you ever tried a subscription like DailyLook? I’d love to know your thoughts ladies!
xoxo,
Karlee
