Dress Your Hair: 5 Accessory Trends

When you get ready in the morning, you put your clothes on, you throw on your jewelry and your shoes, but what about your hair? Dress that hair, girl! A tiny bit of effort in adding a bit of oomph to your hair game can 100% elevate your look. Plus it’s pretty much effortless!

I wanted to highlight 5 hair accessory trends that I am loving right now that are super easy & super cute–

Hair Scarves. Yes, yes, yes. I love these! Whenever I wear a hair scarf I feel like my ponytail is automatically fancy. You can get more of an ascot style that is easy to wrap around your head like a headband, or you can get these built in to a pony tail holder just for your ponytail.

Scrunchies. The 90’s are alive my friend! And so are scrunchies 😉 You can find scrunchies pretty much anywhere at this point, but I bought mine at Urban Outfitters. I always get compliments on the velvet ones that I have, but I’ve also seen really cute gingham and silk ones! I use them any way that I would normally use a ponytail holder. In fact, most of the time when my hair is up in a ponytail (or effortless messy bun), it’s held by a scrunchie.

Rubber Bands. These guys are perfect if you want to do a more subtle half up look, or if you want to have a little braid in your hair. I love them because they’re virtually invisible, so they don’t take away from the look that you’re trying to achieve.

Barrettes. Gimme all the barrettes! There are so many cute options out there– Don’t you think? Personally, I love anything tortoise at the moment. Free People has some really cute options that are also affordable. You can use them for a half up look, or pin your hair to the side like I’ve done here.

Headbands. Popping a headband on is seriously the easiest way to elevate your hair! It takes no effort, so it’s nice to pop one on before you go out. Headbands have a way of making you look like you put effort into your hair when you really didn’t which is what I am alllll about.
