We all know that the runway is an exciting and inventive place, but it’s not always, well… Realistic. Although runway looks can be absolutely beautiful, for most of us a lot of the outfits aren’t super functional. So I’ve decided to take my 7 favorite trends from fashion month and breath a little life into them. I’ve taken my favorites from the runway to reality so that you can easily see how to shop the latest trends that are also functional for your everyday life!

Colorful Plaids. Plaid is definitely a fall trend, but the runway showed lots of bright, colorful plaids for spring as well. I’m a fan of plaid year round!
All Pink Everythang. Magenta, fuschia, however you wanna say it— You’ll be seeing lots of rich tones of pinks. My guess is that the pinks will show a little more moody for fall and get brighter as we get closer to the spring season.
Flower Power. Florals are always a fall thing. There’s no changing that! You’ll start to see more dark, moody florals for fall with lots of (flattering) ruffles.
Prairie Dresses. I really love this trend because prairie dresses tend to be a bit longer in length. If you know me, you know I’m not about to rock a mini dress, so this trend is an absolute yes for me!
Animal Print. We’ve seen a huge uptick in animal print as of late and that trend is not going away anytime soon. You’ll see both natural looking animal prints, as well as a mix of interesting and unique colors infused with the prints.
Polka Dots. I’ve talked about how I love the polka dot trend a few times and it is still going strong! You’ll be seeing lots more black and white polka dot pieces, but you’ll see color for sure too!
Seeing Rainbows. This trend really hit hard this year and Fashion Week says it’s here to stay— At least for a few more seasons!
