Confession: Over the past 9 months as we’ve been doing our renovations, I swear we are at The Home Depot at least once a week. I’m honestly not even kidding! They might as well know us at our local store by now…
I’ve been wanting to do a little guest room refresh for a while now and The Home Depot’s President’s Day savings event has been the perfect opportunity for me to snag a few items that I’ve been eyeing.
They are really a one stop shop for updating your home which makes things so convenient. They carry thousands of on-trend products making it easy to style and complete your home projects all from one place!
Plus, they offer free shipping on orders over $45 as well as flexible delivery options: free in-store pick up or 2-day shipping to your home!
Today I wanted to share some cute and easy bedroom update pieces that are part of The Home Depot President’s Day savings event + a little before and after of our guest room space.
I compiled items that I feel have more of a timeless look. I’ve been gravitating a lot more lately to pieces that have a classic feel but that can be easily styled in a more modern way.

And here’s a little before and after of our guest bedroom that we updated with pieces from The Home Depot.
I know, I know… The before is a MESS.
And drumroll please…
With a few key items, this room was totally transformed. We kept our vintage dresser and nightstand (we plan on re-staining them at some point) as well as some decor. The three things that made the biggest impact that we updated are:
The paint. I wanted a neutral color that had at least a little bit of contrast from the white board & batten wall. We ended up going with the color Cotton Knit from BEHR. It definitely helps brighten up the room and I like the subtle contrast.
The mirror. I am in LOVE with this mirror. It reflects the light from the window making the space feel both brighter and bigger.
The bed. I’ve been wanting an upholstered bed in here for a while. I feel like it helps give the space a cozy vibe, while contrasting nicely with the wood of the other furniture pieces.

Stay tuned for more home updates coming soon!
