It’s no secret that Cyber Week (Black Friday, Cyber Monday, whatever you want to call it) is the busiest shopping time of the season. Everyone wants to get the best deal + everything on their list. But if you want to shop these days right, you have to have a plan. Here are my 6 top tips on shopping the best sales of the year!
Make your gift list asap. If you haven’t made a list yet, make it now! And not only a list for you. Get lists for everyone that you’re buying for ready. It’s so hard to shop all of the madness of the sales if you don’t know what you want. So have your list ready with backups if your first choice items go out of stock quickly.
Set your budget. There are things every year that I end up getting that I didn’t exactly plan on. But if you set your budget and have a good idea of what you’re going to spend, if you go over a little it’s not as shocking, ha!
Act fast. On these kinds of sales you just can’t wait. There have been so many times where I regret not checking out even an hour prior because the items that I wanted sold out. I tend to buy more and return later if I need to.
Have a strategy. Prioritize the things that you want to purchase first and shop those websites. Don’t be afraid to checkout multiple times. It happens to all of us #noshame. Also know what to get on Black Friday vs. Cyber Monday because sales can change. In most cases earlier is better, but some stores have certain things go on sale certain days of the week, so just be aware of that!
Review return policies. I like to shop at places that have pretty lenient return policies, so most everything on my gift guides will be that way. However, if it’s something that you’re worried about you can always review return policies before shopping on a website. My advice would be to do it before the sales begin so that when the sales start you can get what you want & checkout quickly!
Save receipts & order confirmations. I star all of my emailed receipts in my email just in case. Many times I’ll buy many sizes of one item knowing that I’ll end up returning. It’s nice to create a folder in your email or at least star your receipts so that when it comes to returning, your receipts are easy to find!
Cyber Week is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming. Do not fear! I am here for you!
