My Spring Staple Sandal Pick

I am sooo ready for warmer weather. And obviously to get outside and socialize again. Being cooped up in our house isn’t great, especially when the weather hasn’t been very nice, but I know the weather will warm up and we’ll be able to enjoy it soon enough! 

As spring comes, my closet undoubtedly starts to change. I say goodbye to my snow boots (hoping that a storm won’t hit because it’s Utah, so who knows) and bring out my sandals! I do wear a lot of sneakers in the spring too, but once summer hits I’m pretty much a sandals only kind of gal.

Every year, and not even necessarily on purpose, I always have a few go-to sandals for spring that I wear over and over. I have a feeling that these sandals from Famous Footwear are going to be my go-to’s this year!

And while we’re on the subject, let’s talk spring staples for a minute–

A staple is an item that is versatile, mostly neutral, that you can wear with lots of different kinds of outfits. So when you’re shopping for a seasonal staple shoe, there are a few questions you may want to ask yourself before you buy: 

What spring shoes do you currently have in your closet? 

What colors do you wear most? 

What style are you most comfortable in (flat, wedge, heel, etc.)? 

Do they go with your current wardrobe? 

Are you looking for something a little out of your comfort zone? 

I try to think about those things before buying so that number one: I don’t end up with a million of the same-ish shoe (trust me, it’s happened) and number two: I feel confident and happy with my purchase. I have definitely fallen victim to just buying something because “everyone else” has it, or because I can picture it with a very specific outfit that I wear once and then it just ends up being a waste.
