It’s the most wonderful time of the year… Okay, but really. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the BEST sale of the year. Hands down.
Here’s what you need to know–
Important dates:
July 12th. Early access for the sale goes live TOMORROW. Hop on it girl! This is when a ton of items sell out. If you don’t have a Nordstrom card, I’d definitely recommend getting one. I have the debit card so that everything comes out of my bank account. I prefer that over a credit card, but you can do either! Even just using the card once a year to get early access to the Anniversary Sale every year makes it worth it! You can easily apply for a card here.
July 19th. Sale opens to the public. If you aren’t a Nordstrom card holder, this is when you can shop.
August 4th. This is the last day of the sale. Don’t wait until the last day to shop. I promise what you want will already be gone! (prices go up August 5th)!
Tips for shopping the sale:
Why it’s awesome. This is my favorite sale because the items that are marked down aren’t from the previous season. The items that are discounted are for this season and the next. They are the newest items (think fall sweaters, boots, coats) which makes this sale unlike any other.
Don’t wait. I’ve found that trending sweaters, highly discounted shoes, and items around $50 go the fastest. If you find something that you like, don’t wait. Snag it while you can! There have been so many times where I’ve waited to purchase something from this sale and then I get so disappointed because it sells out and doesn’t get restocked. #rookiemistake Don’t let that be you! If you find something that you love, get it asap because chances are that if you take your time it’ll be gone!
Make a plan. What do you want this year? What do you need this year? (I tend to think that I need it all…) Make a list of your must-haves and go after those items first. Nordstrom has free shipping and returns all of the time with no minimum, so don’t be afraid to check out more than once if you need to. Top tip: There’s no shame in snagging early Christmas gifts (or letting your significant other know what you want for Christmas). I get it, it’s August. But so many fall items go on sale! I totally buy stuff that would be on my (or my hubby’s, mother’s, sister’s, etc.) Christmas list! And don’t forget that you can also shop in store 🙂
