NYC Food Guide: The 15 Best Places To Eat

NYFW is always a whirlwind. It comes before I know it and is over so quickly. Lots of running around to shows and parties while trying to take photos, enjoy the city and find time to eat. But like anywhere that I go, I love to indulge in food places that I wouldn’t be able to go to at home. NYC food guide? I have you covered! I’ve compiled a list of places that I’ve been and that I want to go all in NYC!

Ruby’s Cafe. I love this place! I went here last year too. It’s located in little Italy, but it’s actually an Australian place. I always opt for their fried chicken sandwich with truffle fries. It can’t be beat!

Shake Shack. This is just a go to! I got a fried chicken sandwich with fries here too along with a strawberry shake. YUM.

The Sosta. This restaranut is freaking cuuuute! The decor is like a 50’s diner but everything is pink. I always get their spaghetti with chicken meatballs. So so good!

Serendipity. I’ll be honest, the food is kinda crappy but you can’t beat their frozen hot chocolate. I’d suggest going there for s treat (like the frozen hot chocolate and some fries) rather than spending your money on a meal there. It’s not worth it.

Dig In. I am SO happy that we found this place! It was delicious. It’s essentially a make your own bowl place where you choose your base, sides, and protein. I got brown rice (it has flavor to it as well, with the most delicious broccoli, mac & cheese, and blackened chicken. Serisouly SO good!

Sweet Greens. They have rice bowls and salads. Very similar to like a Mad Greens if you’ve ever been there. I had their Summer BBQ salad and it was pretty good. I don’t know that I’d be super pumped to go back, but it was a nice healthy option!

The Butchers Daughter. This is a trendy vegan place that has lots of yummy options. I got a chicken + veggie melt. Even though the chicken wasn’t actually chicken and the cheese wasn’t actually cheese since everything is veggie based, it was still really tasty.

Places that I didn’t go to this time but that are delish—

Pietro Nolita. Another cute, pink Italian place. I had the pesto pasta when I went to NY last and it was divine.

Schnippers. They have uh-maze-innng fried chicken sandwiches and fried. Are we sensing a theme here…?

Sarabeth’s. Baller french toast. It’s fluffy and filling and served with strawberries. Enough said.

Levain Bakery. Some of the best chocolate chip cookies that I’ve ever had. They have all kinds of cookies but their chocolate chip is where it’s at.

Carmine’s. Definitely go with a group if you go here. Everything is family style so the portions are HUGE. I love their chicken parmesan!

Places that I’ve heard great things about but have never been—

DO, Cookie Dough Confections. I’ve heard that it’s delicious but also really rich. The advice that I was given was to always split one. I can’t wait to try it next time I go!

Rubirosa. I honesty haven’t been to many pizza places in NYC which I know is probably a sin. Supposedly this one is one of the best!

Sprinkles Cupcakes. I’ll admit that I’m not a huge cupcake person, but I’ve always wanted to try Sprinkles. I always see that people go here so I’m assuming that it’s good!

Well, there you have it! My NYC food guide– The best 15 places to eat in NYC. Honestly, I want to take a trip back just for the food…

I’ll get another post up about my NYFW looks later this week so stay tuned!

xoxo,

Karlee
