I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m a pattern mixing gal. I’ve been going a little more neutral lately, (I’m loving my plain tees) but I always love a little mixing and matching.
A few tips for pattern mixing:
- Style neutrals with a pop of color. I chose red, a bit bold yes, for this look’s color pop. But it’s fun to choose one bold color!
- Use one common color that ties the two patterns together. In this look I used white/cream from the polka dots on my top and stripes on the skirt.
- Style the same pop of color in accessories (like these fab red shoes).
And that’s it! I hope that you have fun pattern mixing this summer!
In other news, we found out this afternoon that our closing date for our new home has been postponed (tear). So send me all of the good vibes ladies! We’re hoping for early next week. I have the home’s entire decor all planned out in my head, we’ll see how it all turns out!
xoxo,
Karlee
