6 Easy & Healthy Snack Ideas

Way back (like a few months ago) you asked me for yummy, healthy food ideas and I have been totally failing. I am so sorry! BUT I didn’t forget. It just took me forever because life has been cray-cray. Anyway, I’ve compiled my top 6 deliciously easy snack recipes for you!

Alright, here we go—

Banana + strawberries with chia seeds & honey. Girl I like my fruit fancy! Honestly I like fruit any and every way, but I do like this fancy little spin! Chia seeds a great source of omega-3, and antioxidants, plus provide fiber, iron, and calcium! Sooo I basically throw them on anything (think greek yogurt, smoothies, etc.). And honey is just delicious so if I have an excuse to use it, I do.

Whole grain toast with avocado, hard boiled egg + salt & pepper. Have you ever had Dave’s Killer Bread. It is the BEST. Fo sho my favorite bread. Spread a little avocado on there with a boiled egg or two and then crack some fresh black pepper and salt, paprika if you’re feeling like it’s a special day (smoked paprika if you’re feeling like it’s a really special day). Voila! You have yourself the easiest (and in my opinion the best) avocado toast evvva!

Acai bowl (gimme allll the fruit & granola on top). Did you know that you can buy acai on Amazon?! Well I just recently found that out! I’ve linked it here. I like to put strawberries, bananas, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, pineapple… Really whatever fruit you’re feeling + some bomb granola. Easy peasy and oh so delish.

Hummus with carrots, cucumbers & celery. Have you ever tried those single serve packets of hummus at Costco? They’re the perfect snack size! Hummus is great because it’s a good source of protein, iron, folate, phosphorus and B vitamins and if you’re dippin’ veggies in it you can’t go wrong!

Skinnypop Popcorn Cakes with organic peanut butter. I am obsessed with the maple brown sugar flavor, but I’m also down for some sea salt 😉 They’re a good snack because they have fiber and are low in calories. I like to add a little peanut butter for some extra protein!

On the go— Lara bars & Kids Cliff bars. If you haven’t tried Lara bars yet then you are missing out. They are my favorite! They’re made from nuts, fruits, and spices and have very minimal ingredients. My favorites are the lemon and coconut chocolate chip! Kid Cliff bars are dang good too. I opt for the kid size because the regular ones are too heavy. I can never finish the whole thing!

Well, there you have it! My top 6 favorite healthy (and easy) snacks!

xoxo,

Karlee
