As you already know, I’ve been decorating like a literal mad woman these days. Look out home stores, I’m coming for you! This week I’ve joined forces with the amazing Lemon and their wallpaper supplier Photowall to bring you the best looking half bathroom in all the land, and tips on how to do it yourself!
1. Pizazz-Up Your Walls
A small half bath is the absolute perfect place to experiment with bold patterns and colors– Let your freak flag fly! Because it’s a small space, it can be a delicate balance between energizing your room with killer designs and overwhelming your guests with too much eye candy. Be careful not to overdo it with too many accessories.
2. More Foot Room
Open things up a little bit, show your guests that you have a floor! Large, bulky cabinet sinks can be appealing for storage purposes, but a more petite choice like a pedestal sink adds much more floor space. When it comes to half baths, the need to not feel trapped, aka opening up some floor space, overcomes the need for storage.
3. That Vertical Thang
Getting the most out of your small space means you need to utilize every inch, even your vertical space. Add some open shelving to accent some cute decor like I’ve done, or to store a few of the necessities.
4. Clutter Control
A half bath really isn’t the space that you want to hold your knickknacks. Because it’s such a tight space, you might want to consider storing any extras in another room. I have a laundry room with shelves across my hall, so I store things like extra toilet paper rolls there. This will help your bathroom to stay clean and tidy as not to overwhelm your guests with too much clutter.
5. A Little Splurge
Such a small space can be seen as hard to work with, but it can also be an amazing thing. Why? Well, it’s a small space, which means less furnishings, which means you can get away with splurging (yes!). So, if you’ve been eyeing a special mirror, or killer wallpaper, a half bath is the perfect opportunity to snag it 😉
Definitely check out Photowall for all of your wallpaper needs– You won’t be disappointed! Trust me, I’m still swooning over mine. I hope that you’ve had a wonderful week so far! Shop below for more details on this room 🙂
