With the current global pandemic, staying at home is obviously a must. We’ve had to get creative over here, as I’m sure many of you have, on ways to entertain our toddler. And let me tell you– Jo is a wild one. She has so much energy all of the time. It can be a bit difficult to focus that energy into some sort of activity.
Here are a few things we’re doing to keep busy:
-Long walks outside (it’s especially fun when Jono joins us on the weekends)
-Playing with the water table and kiddie pool in our backyard
-Outdoor chalk art
-Coloring/painting
-Dance parties (pretty much consists of music playing on my phone while Jo and I jam out)
-Smoothie making (Jo loves to help put things in the blender. Plus it’s refreshing for these hot days)
-Digging in the dirt to find bugs (honestly that’s mostly Jo)
-Soccer (myself and Jo vs Jono)
The kid loves to be outside, so we are out as much as possible. And with the outdoors comes a need: SHOES! Jo actually loves shoes (she likes to pull on her rain boots and walk around the house) so when I told her that I got her some new sneakers from Famous Footwear she was actually really excited.
She walked around all day flashing her new kicks. I’m not even kidding!
I ordered online with the curbside pickup option and it was super nice. I love stores that are doing that right now in an effort to help social distancing because it makes life so much easier!
I got Jo these adorable lemon patterned Converse sneakers and I snagged myself these all-white Vans!
