Sleek For Summer

I love, love, love a wedge. If you know me at all, you know that I’m clumsy. I run into walls, I trip over my own feet… It’s bad. I’ve been really trying to wear more heels (and be able to walk in them) and I’m getting better, but wedges are still my safe zone. I still feel super feminine in them, but I don’t look like such a twerp when I walk. Win-win!

I am addicted to these black ones from Famous Footwear. Plus, they are on sale for under $30 (woohoo)! I’ve already worn them way too many times. And this time, I wanted to try something a little different. Trying to find that happy medium between a bright, flowy, beach look and a sleek look for summer can be difficult. During summer, bright and flowy is sometimes all there seems to be. Don’t get me wrong, a beach look is totally cute, I’m all about it, but sometimes you just want to mix it up a little. And unfortunately, not all of us live very close to an ocean…  So, I decided to go with a more polished look for summer with these wedges. You can easily pair these with a summer dress, but I want to show how versatile they really are! Don’t be afraid to wear dark colors in the summer. It’s a great time for brights, but you can have a sleek summer too.

P.S. My husband is basically the poster child for Cole Haan. They have a bit of a higher price point, but they are excellent shoes. We usually scour Nordstrom Rack for a deal!

Xoxo,

Karlee
