If you’ve been following along on my Instagram, you already know we’ve been making a lot of updates to our home. I love designing and decorating, so this whole renovation process has been so fun. A lot of work, yes, but also so, so fun. And honestly, I enjoy the work. We’ve had a lot of late nights tearing out, prepping, and laying the new floor (amongst other projects), but I’ve enjoyed it all!
We’ve lived in our house for five years now, but our entryway has never been very homey. I honestly haven’t done much with it. It’s been a blank space that I’ve been itching to make more inviting. I knew that I wanted to use Overstock for my entryway because they have so many options. Plus, they offer free shipping on all orders, and the quality is always great, so it’s kind of a no brainer!
I picked out several different pieces so that I could play with the space and really see what works. Our entryway isn’t super wide, or long, so it’s been a challenge to figure out pieces that will actually fit the space. After searching all over, I was finally able to find pieces that I love at Overstock! BUT… Now I can’t decide between these two styles! I really love both ways!
Look 1:
Here is my original design board for this look.
And here’s how it turned out:
Cute, right?! I love so many different styles, so it’s a delicate balance to mix and match different kinds of pieces. I really love how this turned out though. This option feels a little more modern to me with the clean lines and shapes. Warm, but contemporary.

- Wooden Entryway Dining Bench
- Artificial Olive Tree
- Contemporary Framed Canvas
- Soapstone Statue
- Dapper Deco Double Handle Vase (I didn’t end up using this in my final design, but I’m going to put in in my bedroom because helloooo it’s gorg)
- Table Lamp in Rattan
- Banana Leaf Storage Baskets (these didn’t make the final cut either, but I’m obsessed. I think I’ll use them for another faux tree that I have around the house)
- Vintage Border Printed Area Rug
- Full Length Floor Mirror
- Fiberstone Planter
- Antique pot
Look 2:
Here is my original design board for option 2.
Here’s how the design turned out:
This option is a little more transitional. I still have modern and contemporary shapes, but it doesn’t feel quite as modern to me. What do you think?

- Arch Wall Mirror
- Ivory Twin Blanket
- Antique pot
- Decorative Fern Planters

- Metal Ladder
I tried to include both modern and transitional pieces in each option. I like mixing different styles because it makes a space feel more homey to me. Which way is your favorite? Vote on my stories and let me know!
Here’s the thing– I may not have a dream home budget, but I know I can always count on Overstock to help create a dream home space at an affordable price. And that’s why I keep going back!
Stay tuned for more design inspo!
