Spring Season Vibes

It’s time to whip out those white jeans again ladies! Bring oooon the sun! I love spring because it’s the time of rebirth. It’s so fun to see greenery that once seemed lifeless come back into full bloom again. We moved into our house back in July and it was a HOT month. The builder had planted two small trees and until last week I honestly thought they were goners. With a hot summer and a short fall, we hadn’t seen any life from the poor little guys– But then it happened! Beautiful white blossoms. Woohoo for spring! About this look– Yes, I’ve brought out my white jeans and I’m ready to keep them out for a while šŸ˜‰ But let’s talk about this top from Ruthie Grace Boutique for a secondā€” The rose patches placed on the sleeves are obviously my favorite part, but I also love the fit. It’s a loose fit, which is what I like to sport during the warmer seasons. The acid wash/distressed look of the fabric is also fun. …

That Tunic Thing

My hubby and I have been binge watching the OC… I feel like I’m in high school again, ha. Seth Coen aka Adam Brody was my celebrity crush growing up. It’s funny because he’s now become Jono’s favorite character too. Great minds think alike šŸ˜‰ It’s basically a teenage soap opera, but I have no shame! I remember watching it real time (I had one of those teeny TVs with a built in VHS player in my room) #oldschool. Every week I would sit on the phone with my friend, who was also fully entrenched in the show, during the entirety of that week’s episode. We would oooo and ahhh and share our thoughts during the commercials. Ahhh what a show! Watching it again now bringsĀ back so many silly memories! Anyway,Ā I’m still a sucker for embroidery– No news there. Ā It dominated my 2016, and I think it’ll do the same for 2017. I just can’t get enough! Another 2016 trend that’s here to stay? Tassels. See my other look with Urban Expressions bags here, here …

Tassel Tunic

I’ve found myself already missing summer… The crazy storms lately are throwing off my vibes! The change of seasons can mean a lot of things… Prepping the house for winter, finally turning on the heat, and my hair + skin freak out a little. Shorts get put in the back of your closet and your puffer jackets come out. Let the layering games begin! Tassels were admittedly a summery trend, and now that it’s fall it’s timeĀ to adjust. You’ll still see tassels in fall, just maybe not as vibrant. The weather outside obviously wasn’t as frightful when I was sporting this tunic, but it could easily be paired with an oversized cardigan like these to rock the tassel trend and adjust for the cold front:     And because I’m still crazy for the tassel trend, here are a few of my favorite tassel accessory finds:     My full look:     Hope that your week is killin’ it! Bring on the tassels! xoxo, Karlee This tunic was gifted by Chic Wish. All …

Embroidered Tunic Heaven

This tunic though… I’m in embroidered tunic heaven, #hearteyes. If you read my posts, you’re probably getting sick of me obsessing over embroidered pieces lately. So, I’m sorry but I just can’t stop. Can’t stop, won’t stop. This Free People inspired embroidered tunic is no different– It’s love. AND it’s somehow both summery and appropriate for fall all at the same time. Magical I tell you… It also doesn’t hurt that theĀ Free People versionĀ is over a $100 and this one is only $42. Kind of a no brainer, right?!Ā If you can’t already tell, I’m a excited (maybe a little too excited). Side note– If you’re on the hunt for a comfy pair of jeans for fall, you need these. Yes, need. They are part of 7 For All Mankind’s b(air) denim collection and they’re fabulous. So soft, like unreasonably soft… I also featured them in my Blogiversary post. If you see me on the street there’s a very good chance that you’lĀ see me reppin’ this look. Probably more often than I should. Until next time …

Easy Dress & Leather Heels

Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world. I love that quote. I love the depth of it. Think about it– You step into your own shoes every day, right? You may step into heels or sneakers or sandals, but they’re yours and you go about your day in them.Ā How you live your life in your shoes is your choice and yours alone. You can waive to a stranger on the street, or give a nice compliment. You can open the door for a person in need, or simply smile. Many times it can be easier to ignore the world around you and only focus on what’s happening in your life, in your shoes. But what about everybody else? What about living life in their shoes? When you think about conquering the world you may think about big things, end-game dreams, which is great, we all do it. But I guess lately, I just want to conquer my day. Did I accomplish the tasks that I wanted to? Did I come …

Retro Trends

We’re all feeling nostalgic these days. Retro fashion is killing it right now. Let’s take a walk down memory lane shall we? Cat eye sunglasses from the 50’s and 60’s are everywhere lately, and the embroidery of the 70’s is making a comeback. Not to mention the 90’s are alive with chokers and colored denim in full swing. So many trends can be mashed together to create one unique outfit and I LOVE it. Keeps things interesting you know? For this look I’ve combined a few retro pieces, but I’ve also styled these new age heeled clogs from Emu Australia. Let me tell you, these have become some of my very favorite heels because… – Number one, the natural neutral colors can be paired with black or brown which makes things so nice. I’m obsessed with the three straps each in a different natural tone. – Number two, they are way easy to dress up or down– Hallelujah! – And number three, they are super comfy PLUSĀ they’re on sale for 50% off, so now is …

Going Boho

Let’s talk embroidery. Basically I love it… I love the boho, eclectic vibe. I love the detail that it adds and I love the contrast that it provides. I tend to be a more detail oriented person, so I’m super attracted to pieces that have a little something special. And let me tell you, I’ve searched long and hard for quality embroidered tops and I’ve found a couple, but this one from Lucy and Lyla is for sure a favorite. It’s super soft and flowy which I love and the colors are super easy to style. So… win-win! As for the rest of the look, I’m going a little retro. I am DYING (in a good way) over all of the retro vibes that are being infused into fashion right now. It makes getting dressed extra fun! Plus, get this top + jeans + shoes combo for under $100! Side note– We arrived in Hawaii this morning and it is so unbelievable lush and beautiful. I just want to touch, feel, stare at everything. I …
